The IDT light barriers can be easily installed on any type of machinery as an extra safety measure, to help protect the workers from getting too close to moving parts, cutting blades, or other hazardous elements. The light barriers consist of a transmitter and a receiver, that can be placed at distances of up to 100 metres.

The units are a compact size, allowing them to be easily fitted into the most confined spaces.

All models include reverse voltage, short circuit and transient protection built in to protect the laser diode and electronics.

Light barriers are suitable for applications such as parts counters, safety systems, access management and machine automation.
